Basic tips for beginners

Tips for beginners:

Start slowly and then increase your cycling start at say 2 or 3 times a week and build up to more frequent and longer rides.

Increase speeds gradually. The key towards successful fitness cycling is to be patient and not hurry in increasing your limits.

Get the right equipment – reliable, well maintained bike, a helmet, a good pair of biking shorts.  Visit The Cyclery for a great range of bikes and gear for all levels.
